Every sound in this set lives on Swarm. Add yours.
The demo
Open livecoding.eth.limo with headphones. Change a pattern, record a short sound, submit it to the soundbank, and hear it come back in the mix.
What it is
A fork of the Strudel livecoding app, hosted on Swarm. It plays from a shared soundbank stored on Swarm, and anyone can add a sample or a voice recording. Finished tracks go to a board on Swarm where others can play and remix them, and the session archive goes back to the network.
Behind the scenes
How it works
- The app is a fork of Strudel, published to Swarm and reached at livecoding.eth.limo.
- It loads a custom soundbank stored on Swarm instead of a sample server.
- The Submit button uploads a sample or voice recording to the shared bank, so the next pattern can use it.
- Finished tracks go to a board on Swarm.
- The session archive is written back to Swarm. A gateway gets anyone in; a Bee light node is the fully native path.
Where it has run
- The Plural Monolith premiere, Neocypherpunk Summit, Berlin, 14 June: Swarm with DarkFi and WinPrivacy.
- Web3 Summit, Funkhaus Berlin, 18 June, with Alexandra Cardenas.
- BREW, Berlin, 20 June: workshop and closing performance.
- Next: the Devcon 8 Music Stage.
Say it straight
Everything you add to the soundbank is public.
